
Due to the sudden change in weather in Shanghai, the organisers of the games has decided that the events scheduled for Saturday afternoon (BMX Freestyle Street Preliminary,Aggressive In-Line Skate Vert Finals) will be postponed to Sunday (03 May 2009).
The 2009 edition of KIA X Games Asia has seen some spectacular action in the first two days with the superstars of action sports coming out to play.
Tim Wood from Australia took gold in the BMX Freestyle Vert while American skater Austen Seaholm was the top dog in the Skateboard Street competition.
Over on the wall, the Russian duo of Sergey Sinitsyn and Yurina Valentina emerged victorious in the men's and women's speed climbing competition respectively.
Andy Macdonald seems to be on track to defend his Skateboard Vert title after knocking down a 91.67 score in the Preliminary Round.
Rian Arnold will face stiff competition from Soichiro Kanashima and Chris Haffey to keep his Aggressive In-Line Park title after the charismatic Japanese took top spot in qualifying on Saturday morning.
Even though fans could not witness the amazing Yatsutoko brothers in action on Saturday due to the afternoon rain, they will be treated to an X Games Asia spectacle as we head into the final day of competition.
Four finals are now scheduled for Sunday and that means a sensational back-to-back showpiece which will have fans drooling at the prospect of seeing Andy Macdonald, Rian Arnold, Garrett Reynolds and the Yatsutoko brothers all in the span of a few hours.
